Clarinet, Recorder & Piano

_DSC3977_edited.jpg

Ulrike Scheuchl gained intensive experience with the instruments recorder, clarinet and drums/percussion at an early age, including at the Jugend musiziert competition.
After leaving school, she decided to study the clarinet, which took her from the Richard Strauss Conservatory in Munich to the Saarbrücken Music Academy and on to the Folkwang University in Essen.
There she discovered that the way she holds the instrument plays a major role due to her left-handedness. Since 2005 she changed her playing style on clarinet, flute and piano to left-handed.
Since 2006 Ulrike Scheuchl lives as a freelance music teacher and musician with her husband and three children in Munich.
